Who is Sidney Baker?
The Sidney Baker, Luxury Apartments community has been named to honor Sidney W. Baker, a young man from Kerr County who was a private in the 168th Infantry Regiment, 42nd Division of the United States Army. Private Baker made the ultimate sacrifice for our country on October 15, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, a major part of the final Allied offensive of World War 1, which brought an end to the “war to end all wars” and victory for the Allies. The Sidney Baker is a fitting tribute to a local, fallen World War 1 hero.
